Montgomery Township Roadway Closures Due to Construction
July 17, 2008 Update

Great Road (CR 601) – Beginning Monday, July 21st, the bridge over Bedens Brook on Great Road (CR601) will be rehabilitated by Somerset County. This bridge is located south of Georgetown and Franklin Turnpike (CR518) and Bedens Brook Road and north of Cherry Valley Road.  During the construction, the bridge will be completely closed.  The anticipated completion date for the bridge rehabilitation is August 16th.  Two variable message boards will be provided on July 16th, one for each direction, near the subject bridge.  The detour route is Georgetown and Franklin Turnpike (CR518), Province Line Road and Cherry Valley Road, all located to the west of Great Road.  Any further questions may be directed to Somerset County Engineering at EngineeringDiv@co.somerset.nj.us or (908) 231-7024. 

Spring Hill Road and Hollow Road – Due to anticipated repair work on the following railroad crossings, it is anticipated that they will close and detours will be posted for the following times:

CSX crossing work at SPRING HILL RD. - start date July 28, 2008 @ 7:00 am, end date Aug. 1, 2008 @ 5:00pm weather pending.  Spring Hill Road will be detoured to CR 518 (Georgetown & Franklin Turnpike) to Hollow Road to Long Hill Road and return to Spring Hill Road.

CSX crossing work at HOLLOW RD. - start date Aug. 18, 2008 @ 7:00 am, end date Aug. 22, 2008 @ 5:00pm.  Appropriate detour routes will be posted in advance of work.
